Develops on sandstone cliffs. |
Occurance |
Singly lichen thallus overgrowings occur on cliffs. |
Reproduction |
Vegetatively by pieces of thalli. |
Changes in number and distribution |
Found for the first time in Latvia in Gauja valley near InĨukalns and
Sigulda (N. Malta, 1920). It is negatively affected by pollution, human
activity (cuttings in cliffs) and changes in vegetation. |
Existing protection |
Decision Nr 107, 1987 by the Council of Ministers of the Latvian SSR.
Localities are known in the territory of Gauja National Park. Red Data
Book of Latvia, 1985. |

Lichen biology and dynamics of population development should be studied.
The state of biotopes and population should be checked. |
