Occurs on sandy soil and moss covered sandstone cliffs. |

Changes in number and distribution |
Found for the first time in the vicinity of Inčukalns (C. Lucas, 1862),
in the vicinity of Cēsis, Sigulda, Ogre (A. Bruttan, 1870). The development
of lichen is negatively affected by environmental pollution and changes
in vegetation. |

Decision Nr 107, 1987 by the Council of Ministers of the Latvian SSR.
Localities are known in the territory of Gauja National Park. Red Data
Book of Latvia, 1985. |

Lichen biology and dynamics of population development should be studied.
Its distribution should be defined. |
