Pertusaria  pertusa (Weigel) Tuck.
Status of species A rare species. Included in the Lists of endangered lichens species in Poland and Austria.
Distribution Western part of Latvia.
Habitat An epiphytic, humidity - demanding lichen growing on deciduous trees in mixed forests.
Occurance Singly specimens occur on deciduous trees.
Reproduction By spores.
Changes in number and distribution Found for the first time in Latvia in Ķemeri (A. Bruttan, 1870), in Moricsala, Rucava, Dunika and Slītere (A. Piterāns, 1972). It is negatively affected by changes in biotope and environmental pollution.
Existing protection Localities are known in Moricsala and Slītere reserves and in botanic sanctuary - Lukna hornbeam stand. Red Data Book of Latvia, 1992.
Suggestions for study Lichen biology and dynamics of population development should be studied. Its distribution should be defined.
